Hey,
I'm Kilian.
I'm a travelling photographer currently based in Prague, Czech Republic.
At the beginning of this year (2025) I embarked on a journey to discover all the beauties of our world. So, to help fund that, I turned to something that I have enjoyed for a very long time, namely, taking photos.
I have had the privilege of growing up in a country that has such an incredible amount of beauty and diversity, in every way. This makes it difficult not to have the desire to capture and share my experiences here.
So let me give you a bit of an autobiography:
My beginning:
Yip, this is where I grew up. Well not exactly, this is Rocklands basecamp, but the mountains in the background, that is where little me would spend his time running around the mountains and telling stories of the bush to unsuspecting guests from all over the world.
Now this is all not very relevant, but what I do believe is that living in this breathtaking environment really taught me to appreciate the beauty in things, and that is how I got into photography, although I did only really start getting into it properly earlier this year.
My photography journey:
After moving to Cape Town, I attended Highschool and in my final year, this year, I finally bought myself my first proper camera, the Sony ZVE-10.
I took this camera everywhere, mostly when a bunch of friends and me would go for hikes around Cape Town. After a while of shooting, I was asked by some friends of friends to do a photoshoot for them, I jumped to the learning opportunity, and sure enough, I learned a great deal, and slowly I trusted myself enough to guarantee return on every shoot and started accepting some payed photoshoot requests. After greatly positive feedback and more learning, I find myself doing what I enjoy in hopes of earning some money to keep travelling, keep exploring, and potentially even be able to do photography full time!
